Coach Ibrahim Oladotun is an Alumni of Virginia Tech. He played Basketball for Virginia Tech Division I Basketball and graduated in 1991. Played Professional basketball in England and Cyprus. He is a retired CPA who worked for Ernest & Young for several years. Currently, he is a full-time real estate investor. Ibrahim is married to Dessire Oladotun. They have five Children—three Girls and two Boys. His three daughters; Shola, Yemi, and Ade; play volleyball and basketball; they have also participated in competitive swimming. Ibrahim’s 2 boys (Baba and Wale) play competitive basketball and soccer.
In August 2014, coming back to his passion for the game of basketball, he volunteered the season of 2014-2015 for the Forcey Christian School Girls Basketball Team. They won their first-ever GMCAC Championship. Also, he has volunteered and coached various Recreation Teams over the years. Currently, he is organizing and teaching training sessions under the ICC Runners—the organization he founded in Spring 2015.
In a nutshell, ICC Runners is a year-round basketball team playing in all four seasons: autumn, winter, spring, and summer. We are currently filling teams in age’s 7U through 14U boys and girls. We are also looking for volunteer coaches of all ages. Here at ICC Runners, we are committed to player development and teaching basic fundamental basketball skills such as ball handling, footwork, shooting mechanics, passing skill, conditioning, and other basketball related skills.
Despite basketball being our main sport, we are open to track and field, soccer, and volleyball. ICC Runners has won 4 championships in various age categories. ICC Runners is a 501(c) organization.
